After two model years of the current generation, the Subaru Outback continues to lead the company in popularity and sales with its proven capability, power, efficiency, and handy features.
NEW FOR 2012
The biggest Outback news for the 2012 model year is about the audio systems. Outback Premium models feature an AM/FM stereo with single-disc CD player. Among other highlights, the six-speaker system offers:
- MP3/WMA file capability
- Bluetooth audio streaming and hands-free phone connectivity
- iPod control capability
- Auxiliary input jack and USB port
- Prewiring for XM or SIRIUS satellite radio
Standard on Outback Limited and available on Outback Premium models is a new AM/FM stereo with HD Radio™5 and single-disc CD player. It has a Harman Kardon®6 440-watt amplifier, 4.3 LCD display screen, XM satellite radio, Radio Broadcast Data System (RBDS), and includes features highlighted for the standard radio in Outback Premium models.
Otherwise, Outback carries over most of its
features from the 2011 model year. These include small revisions based
on customer feedback that enhance comfort and convenience.
